Land
Bus
Long-distance buses arrive at the Greyhound Bus Terminal (713-759-6565; www.greyhound.com; 2121 Main St), located between downtown and the Museum District, and two blocks from the Downtown Transit Center light-rail stop.
Train
The Orlando–Los Angeles train (via San Antonio, Big Bend and El Paso), the Sunset Limited, stops at the Amtrak Station (713-224-1577; www.amtrak.com; 902 Washington Ave) three times a week.
Air
Houston Airport System (www.fly2houston.com) has two airports. Twenty-two miles north of the city center, George Bush Intercontinental (IAH; 281-230-3100; btwn I-45 & I-59 N) is served by many major domestic and international carriers, and is home base for Continental Airlines. Twelve miles southeast of town, William P Hobby Airport (HOU; 713-640-3000), off I-45 S, is a major hub for Southwest Airlines and domestic travel. Read your ticket closely; some airlines, like Delta, fly out of both airports. Wi-fi is available at both airports.
