Lonely Planet review for Museum at FIT

The Fashion Institute of Technology is a fashion, design and fine-arts school located on the edge of Manhattan’s Garment District. The best way for a visitor to access its unique riches is to visit its museum, which showcases rotating exhibits on fashion and style, including works by students. Its new permanent collection is the country’s first gallery of fashion and textile history, which displays rotating items from its collection of more than 50,000 garments and accessories dating from the 18th century to the present.

    For fashion lovers only

    alistnyc does not recommend this,

On the upside this museum was free. Unless you really love fashion or they have an exciting exhibit skip this museum. It was unfortunately a disappointment and there are better ways to spend your time.
