Air-conditioned bus A1 picks up from outside the arrivals area of all terminals every 40 minutes around the clock (one hour, Dh4) and travels via the central bus station all the way into town as far as Al Zahiyah.
Etihad passengers can use free shuttle buses to and from Dubai and Al Ain (show your boarding pass).
Taxis cost Dh70 to Dh80 for the half-hour trip to the city centre, including flagfall of Dh20.
If you’re leaving on Etihad, Gulf, Cathay Pacific, Air Berlin and a few other airlines, you may be able to check your luggage and pick up a boarding pass between four and 24 hours before departure at four remote check-in locations: the City Terminal near Abu Dhabi Mall, Adnec, Park Rotana and the Crowne Plaza on Yas Island.
