Prostitution Information Centre information
Established by a former prostitute, the PIC provides frank information about the industry to sex workers, their customers and curious tourists. The centre's small shop sells enlightening reading material and souvenirs, but best of all is its excellent hour-long walking tour (5pm Saturday, €15 per person, no reservations needed), which takes you around the neighbourhood and into a prostitute's working room.
In summer the group adds an extra tour on Wednesdays at 6.30pm. You can also peek in the mini-museum set up like a historic brothel (free with tour, otherwise €1 per person). Proceeds go to the centre.
