Getting there & away
Few buses go directly to the Tatra resort towns from far afield, for most you will need to switch in Poprad. Trainwise, you can change in Poprad from the main Bratislava–Kosice line to take the electric train to mountain resorts, or you could switch at Tatranská Štrba, and take the ozubnicová železnica (cog railway) up to Štrbské Pleso.
Poprad airport has a few London-bound flights each week.

Land
Border crossings
The closest border crossing between Slovakia and Poland is at Lysá Poĺana near Tatranská Javorina, 30km from Tatranská Lomnica via Ždiar by bus. Buses depart from Poprad and Tatranská Lomnica. From the Polish side of the border crossing there are regular public buses and private minibuses to Zakopane (26km).
