Heading to Oman in November by 4x4 and planning to try and discover some really incredible places specifically for drone footage - any tips would be much appreciated.
I want to rent a 4x4 (Toyota Landcruiser, ...) with roof-tent and camping-equipement, but it seems very hard to find in Maskat.
In Dubai I did not find something too. Just normal 4x4 without roof-tent.
Does anyone have recommendations?
I am off to Oman in October with my girlfriend and will be spending the first 4 nights in Muscat.
It has been 7 years since I was last in Muscat where I stayed at the Grand Hyatt - from what I now understand this hotel is looking a little dated..
Perhaps someone can offer some thoughts/opinions and advice on choosing between the Al Bustan Palace or the Al Husn @ the Shangri-La??
I know both of these hotels are a little out of Muscat, this is not an issue as we will have a rental vehicle. I…
I seem to remember some travel agents offering day cruises from Dubai with a stop in Oman. Are there overnight trips offered, say, 2 day-1 night affairs that begin and end in Dubai? Seems like this could be a popular option for weekenders, etc. from Dubai. I am interested in doing something like this in December.
We'd like to have a day trip from Dubai to Musandam's Fiords. Travel agency suggest going there from Khasah or from Dibba (Dhow cruise). Please which one is it better? We are from Europe, do we need a visa to enter Oman from UAE?
Or thinking about renting a car in Dubai, will be a problem to enter Oman? Thanks folks.
I will be travelling from Iran to Dubai in December. Then I would like to get from Dubai to Oman by bus. Am I allowed to cross the border between both countries if I have Dubai passport-stamp from the airport? Is it possible to stay in Oman and then catch flight to Nepal/India?
I am Polish citizen so I don't need any VISA to Dubai (I guess it's 90 days VISA FREE) and for Oman I can get VOA.
Has anyone got any recommendations for Arabic classes in Muscat? I'll only be there a few weeks but would like to start learning straight away - so a flexible class would be great.
The only course I know of is CIL which is really expensive, so I was hoping someone might have other recommendations.
Can anyone give me any information about this visa? I am going to Oman at the end of August for 5 days. I then return to the UK and in mid September fly to Bhutan. On the way home, I have a 2 night stopover in Qatar. Rather than getting a VOA for both countries, am I allowed to get the joint visa, or would I need to be going direct from one country to the other? I can't find much information about it online.
I want to spend a few weeks in Muscat from end of July doing some studying (writing) and so I need an apartment with Internet and aircon! As I won't have a car it would be good to be central. I've searched a number of websites including AirBnB but can't seem to find much within my price range. Are there any decent websites or contact points for short term apartment rentals as opposed to hotels/pay per night accommodation?
