does anyone know how to organize a speed boat without a hotel?
We have a booking but the hotel hasn't been particularly helpful when it comes to booking a speedboat and we arrive too late to take the regular ferry.
Thanks in advance!
we are an italian couple travelling to Maldives from Sri Lanka 3-7 January.
We want to share a Speed Boat from Malè airport to Maafushi the 3rd January 22:00. The Hotel asks us 150€=180$, this price can be shared with 5 people, now we are in 2. We don't want to wait the day after but either don't want to spend too much. The return is in 7th January at 13:00. If somebody like to share it, message me.
Bye and have a good travel,
Travelling to Coco Palm Dhuni Kolhu in April 2015. I have read that tips are part of staying in the Maldives. Can anyone tell me what's an expected tip and the times you should or shouldn't tip? Can you buy alcohol bought duty free in Male to your resort? Can you drink the tap water and/or brush your teeth in it?
I am completely new to the concept of luxurious diving on live aboard in the Maldives. My husband and I (PADI DM and OWSI) did a very laid back, backpacker style live aboard in Thailand and we loved it.
For the Maldives, all boats look so luxurious.. we are a bit lost. Any advice?
We are young couple coming to maafushi on 24th of Nov. Looking to take a speedboat for hire. It will be helpful if someone want to share the speedboat.
I am returning back on 28th of Nov which is on friday. Same situation. Please send a mail to <snip>
I work online and need my Dhiraagu 3G connection to work. Currently on Maafushi and would like to move onto a new island for something different. My only requiirements are
- a 3G network
- cheap accommodation ($40-$50/night)
I checked out Fulidhoo but the 2 hotels on the island are a bit out of my price range. I was recommended Thulusdhoo.
I'm from India. I'm planning to travel to Maldives around Nov/Dec 2014, on a 7-8 days trip. I'd like to travel on a low budget, but experience all of the the local culture and food.
I'm looking for a travel buddy for my trip. So, anyone interested is welcome.
Hi, I will be visiting the Maldives in late-October. I've narrowed down my choices between a Jacuzzi overwater villa at Veligandu (all inclusive) and a lagoon- or ocean-facing villa at the Six Senses Laamu.
Although Veligandu looks great, the Six Senses rooms and overall resort layout look more elegant and "dreamy" with more attention paid to design and details. Overall the price difference is about $450 a night (Veligandu being the cheaper of the two.)
I am worried that the Six Senses might…
I would like to go to Maldives from India around the 10th of December and then fly to VIetnam before the 20 th of december , it seems so expensive. Any advise? Any cheap way to get there.
