Hi, I'm planning to go Perhentian / Langkawi / Redang (not decided yet) island / sea beach in Malaysia for 2/3 days vacation end of April (may starts on Saturday) . I'm friendly, open-minded, like to explore new people, place, culture. Looking for a travel buddy for travel together; similar minded, like adventure, easy going, good conversation etc. Anyone age from 20 to 40 from any country, preferably female buddy. I'm flexible in travel plan and willing to share travel/accommodation cost of my…

Hello!

I am looking for recommendations for legit volunteer organizations to volunteer with in Malaysia. I have experience with kids (I am a teacher back home), with animals, and with conservation. Looking for something for 2-8 weeks, that won't cost me an arm and a leg. Any leads would be appreciated!

Cheers,
Crystal

Hi Travellers,
Could you advice me which SIM operator choose in Malysia to have like 500MB-1GB of internet for two weeks for not much of money like no more than 15 MYR (low-budget travel).
I do not want to have any phone connection in it, just internet with max 1 GB.

Hi there,

I am planning travelling to Borneo (via Singapore) from Aug 22 - Sep 9 this year, and am looking for some thoughts on how to structure the trip itinerary. We have 18 full days for sightseeing, hopefully with one (or two) of those days left to visit Singapore itself. My partner and I prefer nature activities (e.g. hiking) over city/cultural activities for this trip, though we don't mind some of the latter by any means — we'd love to check out KK, BSB, and maybe Kucing if there is time…

Hey

I'm flying into KL from Canada on December 26. I want to see KL, Batu Caves, Langkawi, Penang, Malacca (Melaka) and Cameron Highlands for sure. I will avoid the East Coast due to the climate.

Once I arrive in Malaysia, should I go to Malacca (Melaka) first for 2-3 days and then go to KL for New Year's Eve? I don't want to spend more than 2-3 days in KL but really wanna spend New Year's there. Any other tips where to go after arrival that brings me back to KL for New Year's?

I have 26…

I'm heading to Tioman Island next week, and looking for an alternative to staying along Air Batang (been there before).

Does anyone have recent info on "low-budget" places to stay in Salang or Juara? I would like to find a room (1 person) for RM50 or less.

Thanks for any advice you can offer.

LP guidebook says that buses from KK to Sandakan depart all the day with distinctive gap in schedule: no buses between 2PM and 8PM.
I was able to find a schedule in the net showing that there are buses during this lull, but it was dated to 2012.
Anybody knows what is the current situation ? We arrive to KK by plane at 2:30 PM and would like to find a bus to Sandakan, that arrive brfore midnight.

Any help appreciated
Maciek

Hi my partner and I are going to Borneo for 3 weeks in late June/early July. Would appreciate any advice about a possible itinerary.
We are keen to do some trekking, animal spotting and definitely diving in spidadan.
We thought a few days in KK then to go down to gunung mulu to see the caves. How long would u reckon?
Then we thought about sepilok, and we have heard good reviews about the kinabatangan river cruises.
Also thought about tanjung national park , then the diving and the derawan islands…

Hello Everybody,

After further itinerary planning, now I'm not sure I will be able to make it to Taman Negara N.P. However, I will be spending a few days in Gurung Mulu NP and I'll be trekking in the rainforest, canopy walk, night walk, river ride on longboats, etc. (and visiting the caves, of course).

Should I make time for Taman Negara, considering that I will be in Mulu for 5 days? In terms of scenery, is the forest in Taman Negara different from the forest in Mulu NP? What would Taman…
