I'm planning a road trip to the RN7 from Morondava starting from the middle to end of October. I'd like to visit Isalo, Ranomafana, Andringitra and Zombitse-Vohibasia National Parks. Would two weeks be enough to do this and are there any other parks worth visiting? At the moment I'm planning to end in Tana rather than going back to Morondava, is this a good idea? I anyone's got recommended hotels around the parks I'd like to hear them.
We will be arriving in Tana the 24th of September (Saturday, very early in the morning), and were hoping to catch a flight to Sambava that same day (10 hours after arrival of our incoming flight). Is it necessary to book this in advance, or are the flights generally not fully booked?
Also, I have come across some information that domestic flights with Madagascar Airlines are discounted if you also booked the international flight with them (but only if you book the domestic flight…
Who want to join me and my girlfriend Saturday 27 August from Antananarivo to Morondava? Cosy and we can split the costs. Our private car for 8 persons and driver will leave at 11:30 from Antananarivo. We will drive to the Baobab Alley in 2 days.
Sorry guys forgot to mention the company that does the tour mentioned below on my last post!!! Dumb I know. Company name is "guidadventures" they work out of the capital? Anyone used it?
Anyone heard of this tour company in Antananarivo: they do the Tsiribihina River trip with Tsingy & the baobab alley - it's a 7 day trip? Anyone done it?
Myself and my wife are coming to Madagascar for 3 weeks at the end of November for our honeymoon. Really excited; we have done a lot of independent travelling over the years but this trip seems like our most challenging to date.
We have hired a driver to pick us up from Tana and take us up to Ankify, stopping off at Ankarafantsika and Ankarana over the course of around 5 days before we cross over to Nosy Be and then onto Nosy Komba before heading back.
I had a few questions which I'm…

After visiting the South - Toliara and Fort Dauphin - I would appreciate your corrections, amendments and alterations to the following plan
08 - 11/09 Ambila; Accomodation? Nirvana d'Ambila has differing comments
11 - 14/09 ---> Manambato; how to get there? I think taxi? Bgl. Las Arcadias?
14 - 17/09 ---> Lac Ampitabe by privat boat? Nice accomodation?
17 - 19/09---> Toamasina by boat? or train? (buy ticket S-Ivongo - Ste. Marie, see below)
I read a lot about the problems with domestic flights with Air Madagascar with flights delayed or moved forward without notification (even for days and not just hours), cancellation etc. But I was wondering how your experiences are with international flights (in this case from Paris)?
We will try to avoid domestic flights as much as possible and leave room in our itinerary for ample changes in flight schedules, but of course if international flights are also rescheduled / cancelled…
