Introducing West of Tokyo
Tokyo-to (Tokyo Prefecture) includes many cities in addition to Tokyo proper; most are along the Chūō line as it heads towards Yamanashi-ken. South and west of these are the scenic Fuji Go-ko region, Mt Fuji itself, the tourist mecca of Hakone, and the onsen and beach resorts of the Izu-hantō.
