Lonely Planet review for Scicli
Scicli is full of wonderful baroque architecture - in particular Palazzo Beneventano and Palazzo Fava - and framed by rocky cliffs. It is well off the beaten track and there is seldom another tourist in sight. From here you can head down to Modica Marina (around €2.20, six buses daily) and Sampieri (around €2.50, three buses daily) on the southern coast for long sandy beaches, as well as rocky coves.
Both are popular with the town's youth, with bars and loungers (bed & umbrella for two around €10) on the sand, though there are vast unpopulated areas if you walk along the beaches, where you can be undisturbed by the crowds.

don't miss Scicli- the best one of the marvellous southeast
peter788 recommends this,
if you are in the southeast of sicily, for sure you can't miss Scicli. never!
scicli is amazing, small, elegant, still not many tourists like modica and ragusa ibla. it's cheaper than modica and ragusa!
for me it's nicer too.it's a good place to stay and from here start to explore all southeast.
by car you'all arrive in 10-30 minutes in modica ragusa and noto and in each nice beaches of scicli's coast. 18km of sea cost."via francesco mormino penna" is the old baroque center of the town. nominated from UNESCO heritage of the humanity. great!
go up hill in the view point of san matteo's church.
good pizza in the pizzeria " pura follia" in the center of the town.
many amazing and clean beaches, sampieri, cava d'aliga, donnalucata.
my favourite is Filippa's beach.high season with many people and higher price is just from 6th to 21th of august. the rest of the year there are not many people, and the climate it's really good.
like many internationals travellers we slept in the b&b u marchisi at cava d'aliga - scicli's beach, 5 minutes from scicli.
good guesthouse with wifi, pool, parking and big brekky.
the young manager nicola is very friendly. he helped us with our car and our crash...Good for: lovers of food experiences, beaches, baroque
