im headed to italy from mar 21- apr 25 (landing and leaving from rome) and will probably hit 6-8 cities
im assuming train will be the most convenient way to move around Italy
my question is : is there a train package should I buy for a multi city trip in a month

Have just booked flights from Sydney to Rome for early May 2017 and 22 days later fly home from Barcelona. A Road Trip sounded like a great idea at the time but now wondering where to go, how many nights to stay in each place and what mode of transport (or combination) to use as a few friends have said driving is a bit mad in Europe and some of the cities you wont be able to find parking. we are planning a cycling trip from Italy to Croatia, I know I am really early since we'll be travelling next aug-sept. Since its so far away I can't seem to find much information about the Venise-Porec ferry .Is it really only 5 times a week? And does it always leave around 5 pm?
