More colonnades buttress the stone-spired 1787 St John’s Church. The small, portrait-draped room on the right as you enter was once used as an office by Warren Hastings, Bengal’s first British governor-general.

    Exhilarating for those with interest in History !

    highmountains recommends this,

    There is an old, gigantic pipe organ & though, I have not heard it being played, people say that the quality of music is excellent.

    Good for: Historical
