Scuba diving courses bring thousands of travelers to Honduras every year because of the world-class dive sites and the bargain basement prices. Besides open-water and advanced open-water certifications, dive shops offer upper-level courses and specialties, including nitrox, divemaster and instructor. While the vast majority of dive shops are on the Bay Islands, there are also fully equipped shops servicing Cayos Cochinos and Omoa.
Spanish courses are becoming increasingly popular. Travelers have the option of studying in Copán Ruínas, Tegucigalpa, La Ceiba and the Bay Islands.
