Land
Bus
The bus station (08 10 00 08 16; 24 blvd Georges Clemenceau; 7.30am-4pm Mon-Sat) is served by companies including Telleschi (04 42 28 40 22), which runs services to/from Aix-en-Provence (€9.80, 1¾ hours).
Buses also link Arles with various parts of the Camargue, including Les Stes-Maries de la Mer (€4.90, one hour).
Long-haul, international bus company Eurolines (04 90 96 94 78; www.eurolines.com) stops here, though there’s no ticket office.
Train
Some major rail destinations from Arles’ train station (information office 9am-12.30pm & 2-6.30pm Mon-Sat) include Nîmes (€6.90, 30 minutes), Montpellier (€12.90, one hour), Marseille (€12.20, 45 minutes) and Avignon (€6, 20 minutes).
Air
Nîmes airport is 20km northwest of the city on the A54. There is no public transport between the airport and Arles.
