Normandy

Getting there & around

Ferries to and from England and Ireland dock at Cherbourg, Ouistreham, Le Havre and Dieppe. The Channel Islands are most accessible from the Breton port of St-Malo, but in the warm season from Cherbourg, Carteret, Granville and Portbail as well.

Normandy is easily accessible by train from Paris. All major towns in Normandy are well connected by rail, but the buses between smaller towns and villages are infrequent. To explore Normandy’s rural areas you’ll really be best on either two or four wheels.
