Lonely Planet review
Four kilometres north of the city centre, this excellent zoo – France's second largest – has an enormous population of wild residents that span the world's continents: African lions, South American spiders, Asian snakes, European deer, Australian emus and a whole host more.
Next door to the zoo is the impressive Serre Amazonienne , which replicates the humid world of the Amazon rainforest, complete with prowling piranhas, alligators and reptiles. Admission to the zoo is free, but there's a charge for the Serre Amazonienne.
