Lonely Planet review for Václav Havel Library
This exhibition, next door to the Franz Kafka Museum, charts the life and work of the Czech Republic’s first playwright-president: writer, dramatist and political dissident Václav Havel, who led the country from 1989 to 2003, through the aftermath of communism and the Velvet Divorce. Featured are displays of documents, photographs, original writings and a reconstruction of Havel’s presidential office in Prague Castle.
