Weather
Chóngqìng is known for two things throughout China: searingly hot summers and rain pretty much anytime else. Pack an umbrella and be prepared for the heat and humidity once July rolls around. Temperatures can exceed 40°C and this has earned the city a place among the country’s ‘three furnaces’, along with Wǔhàn and Nánjīng.
