Weather
Vancouver's climate is the mildest in Canada, averaging 20°C in summer and 2°C in winter. But you don't hear much about that accolade. Instead you hear about the rain. Yes, bucketloads of it fall, especially in winter (January, February and March). In the mountains, a mere 20 minutes away, this translates into snow for excellent skiing. The official wet-stuff number is 116cm (46in) annually. July through September are the best bets for sunshine. Check www.weatheroffice.pyr.ec.gc.ca for online forecasts.
