Bus

Greyhound buses stop at Mall Centre Bus Depot (204-783-8857; 487 Portage Ave) en route to Regina ($86, eight hours, four daily), Thunder Bay ($86, nine hours, three daily) and Thompson ($94, nine hours, two daily).

Train

VIA Rail’s Canadian departs Union Station (123 Main St) at 4:55pm Wednesday, Friday and Sunday on its way west; eastbound trains leave Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday at 12:10pm. The thrice-weekly Hudson Bay leaves for Churchill on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday at 10pm.
