Cruise activities in Brazil

  1. Velho Marineiro

Rio’s newest aquatic venture is a small party boat that heads out for a four-hour cruise around Rio. The tour entails music, a barbecue, free drinks, and stops for swimming along the way. Tours run only when there’s enough demand (10 persons or more), which is fairly often in the summer. The tour operator will pick you up on the day of the tour.

    Marlin Yacht Tours

The Marina da Glória has a number of boating outfits, although Marlin Yacht Tours has the largest fleet – including schooners, sailboats and motorboats. Here you can hire a vessel for a sailing, fishing or diving adventure, creating your own itinerary. Prices aren’t cheap, so it’s best to gather a group.

    Saveiros Tours

Saveiros leads daily two-hour cruises out over Baía de Guanabara in large schooners. The route follows the coastline of Rio and Niterói with excellent views of Pão de Açúcar (Sugarloaf), the MAC, Ilha Fiscal and the old fort of Urca. You’ll sail under the Niterói bridge.
