Our independent judge Callum faced a tough job, but he finally decided on the winning picture. But before we reveal who has won, let’s have a look at the five runner ups in no particular order:

All of the above will receive a Lonely Planet guide of their choice so they can send us more pictures of their travels. Well done all.

And with no further delay… here’s the winning entry of our Travel Adventures competition!

Man hikingCongratulations to Dustin, who hails from Canada, but sent us this picture of him coming down Mt Kinabalu on the world’s highest via ferrata in Malaysian Borneo. This is what our judge Callum had to say about the entry: “It’s got it all for me, great image, daredevil activity and the Canada badge on his backpack suggests he’s a long way from home on some big adventure“. We hope Dustin enjoys the Nokia smartphone that’s currently on his way in many other future adventures!

Thanks to everyone who took part in the competition and congratulations once again to all the winners.

Keep an eye out for more contests and games, plus lots of great travel discussions on Lonely Planet’s Facebook page.
