Just away from the chaos of the bus station, streetside rooms here can be noisy, but a drop in prices has made this the top budget option. Clean rooms come with tiny bathrooms. There’s a ground-floor cafeteria as well.
This is easily your best option in Nador. Recently renovated, with classy spaces all united by varnished trim, it occupies an excellent location overlooking the corniche and the lagoon beyond.
A pleasant central location and quiet atmosphere are the advantages of this three-star hotel. It’s a bit bland, but the rooms are comfortable and fully equipped, with carved plaster ceilings. Off-season discounts can be generous.
This popular pension overlooks Parque Hernández. Rooms are small but clean and bright, with TV and bathroom. Advance booking advised.
This three-star hotel looks unassuming but is quite plush when you get inside. Rooms are very well turned out, with TV, minibars and balconies. The restaurant, recommended for its buffet breakfast, puts out a pretty impressive spread.
This rather dour two-star hotel offers standard-fare rooms with TVs, fridges and balconies. The highlight is the roof terrace, offering vistas of Melilla La Vieja and the sea beyond.
The last of the trio of good cheap options. Don't be put off by the gloomy and uninspiring entrance. Rooms are a little tired but well-kept; they only have washbasins, and share one toilet and one shower.
A decent-value pension, the Cazaza has eleven smallish, high-ceilinged rooms, with TVs, bathtubs and balconies. Management is friendly.
More expensive and less intimate, this hotel offers similar amenities to the Parque and Cazaza.
From the outside, Melilla's top hotel looks as if it's covered with strange sci-fi towers. Inside there are large, grand rooms, with shiny fittings and lots of marble. The best have balconies, with great views of the sea.
