Erice Antico Borgo
Hotel San Giovanni
This excellent budget choice in a former convent enjoys some of the most stunning views in town. Public areas are glossily marbled while the rooms are plain with tiny bathrooms.
Torri Pepoli
Be king (or queen) of the castle and stay in one of Sicily’s grandest hotels, opened in 2005. There are just six rooms, plus a suite in the tower.
Hotel Elimo
Elimo is in an atmospheric historic house with tiled beams and marble fireplaces. The eccentric owner has filled his communal rooms with intriguing art, knick-knacks and antiques.
Albergo Edelweiss
A good budget option with large rooms, spacious beds and small windows that look onto the plain below.
Hotel Moderno
The ironically named Moderno is one of Erice’s oldest hotels, dating back to the 1880s. Cosy and small, it retains a lovely, distinguished air and features rooms with bright rugs and mismatched furniture that somehow work together.
