This showroom, in a private home, is a great place to buy Jaipur blue pottery produced with lead-free glaze by Kumud and Manakshi Rathore, daughters of renowned potter and painter, the late Mr Kripal Singh. Ceramics are sold from Rs100 (for a paperweight) to Rs20,000 (for a large vase).

This classy boutique is well worth visiting, with high-quality textiles including block-printed fabrics and clothes. The pieces are produced just outside Jaipur at an unusually ethical factory built on the grounds of an organic farm. There’s also a neat little cafe on the premises.

This place, 3km from the station, is worth a visit. The organisation empowers low-caste village women, who produce the attractive handicrafts on sale, including saris, scarves, bags and bedspreads. You can visit the workshop located beyond the park entrance near Khem Villas.
