    The formal ambience (mind your manners) may not be for everybody, but few would not be awed by the sumptuous decor, soaring beamed ceiling and palatial chandeliers. The menu is constantly in flux, but most dishes have perfect pitch and are beautifully presented. There's a dress code at dinner, but otherwise shorts and sneakers are OK. Sunday brunch is amazing.

    The all-you-can-eat breakfast and dinner buffets are great for families, gluttons and the undecided, although the cafeteria-style setting has all the charm of a train-station waiting room.

    At this convivial place, with high-beamed ceilings and a fireplace, you can mingle with fresh-off-the-trail hikers kicking back over beer and pizza. Salads, pasta and appetizers are other satisfying hunger weapons.

    The chefs at the lodge's casual-elegant dining room produce some of the best meals in the park, but your sesame-encrusted ahi (tuna) or filet mignon will likely be competing for your attention with the stunning views of Yosemite Falls. Reservations recommended.

    This venerable dining room is a great spot for a repast. Breakfast might be French toast, lunch a fresh sandwich or salad, but it's dinnertime when the chef's talents truly shine. The flatiron steak is a signature dish. On summer Saturdays, the delicious lawn barbecue is the place to be. For snacks, head to the golf shop.

    This self-service restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Make your selection at several tummy-filling stations serving pastas, burgers, hot sandwiches and other fare that holds up well under heat lamps, then proceed to the cashier and find a table inside or on the patio.
