    Denver's first main shopping strip is the pedestrian-only 16th St Mall . It features a lot of T-shirt venues, mega-record shops and popular American chains such as Gap, with a few interesting Western boutiques, galleries and five-and-dime shops mixed in for good measure.

  2. Tattered Cover Bookstore

    Denver's most loved bookstore, the Tattered Cover Bookstore is by far the coolest shop in Denver, it's massive and bursting with books. We love the armchair-travel section - curl into the comfy chairs scattered around the shop and read about Kathmandu. And if you need a new writing journal, well this is where we come to stock up before our research trips. The selection is fabulous!
