Acadia National Park Restaurants

  1. Burning Tree

One of the best restaurants on the island, Burning Tree prepares a rich and eclectic assortment of dishes, with local seafood taking pride of place. Among the crowd pleasers: prosciutto-wrapped sea scallops, squash blossom appetizers, chili-glazed monkfish and Earl Grey ice cream. This place is popular, so do reserve a table. It's 4 miles south of town, along ME 3.

  2. Jordan Pond House

Beautifully set amid the park's lush greenery (it's the only restaurant within park boundaries), this elegant teahouse serves afternoon tea and delectable popovers with strawberry jam. Best of all, it's an outdoor affair, with tables set on a broad lawn, overlooking mountain and ocean views. Dinner is similarly refined, though the food is often disappointing.
