The food is well presented and of high quality, with service to match, although you can't help but feel you're paying more for the sleek setting than for the food. There's a separate entry for the eponymous pastry shop (on the ground floor), blessed with an agreeable terrace where you can unwind over a cup of tea or a delectable dondurma .

    If Saçi Beyaz is too trendy for your taste, walk down Kazım Karabekir Caddesi to this quirky little restaurant, which serves soups and other goodies round the clock.
