    Serious shoppers should head for CascaiShopping, a vast mall to get lost in, which also has a cinema (some films in English), en route to Sintra. Bus 417 passes by regularly. Cascais also has the Cascais Villa shopping centre by the bus station.

    The Mercado Municipal, on the northern outskirts of town, is best on Wednesday and Saturday morning, while an open-air market - a mix of clothes, bags, antiques, junk and so on - fills the area next to the former bullring, 1km west of town, the first and third Sunday of the month.
