At the time of writing, Christchurch's CBD was closed following earthquake damage, and accommodation was focused in and around the city's inner suburbs. Several international hotels within the CBD were demolished after the earthquake, but the Novotel (www.novotel.com), Ibis (www.ibishotel.com) and Rendezvous (www.rendezvoushotels.com) hotels were preparing to re-open once the CBD cordon was lifted. Check the hotel websites and www.cera.govt.
