  3. Tavern

A favourite place to dine and hang out, the Tavern boasts a global range of food from crispy roast lamb to Goan fish curry and just about everything in between. 4. City Point Restaurant

This small wood-panelled place is one of several shoehorned into the road above the bus stand. Great for breakfast or a quick snack, but also does curries and dishes such as kadhai chicken (wok-fried chicken curry) for dinner.

Tibetan-run but strong on Thai food, Kalsang is a deservedly popular place serving up coconut curries, Thai papaya salad, momos (Tibetan dumplings) and noodles.
