Hotel Kea
KEA has spacious business-style rooms with a dated design and large bathrooms. There’s little local character about it, but some rooms have balconies and good views over the fjord.

A business hotel from the KEA chain, this place is less appealing than its sister hotels; its big, bright rooms have tired furnishings and little atmosphere. All have private bathrooms and are comfortable enough.
Compact rooms with simple decor, satellite TV, phone and minibar are on offer at this new hotel near the tourist office. All rooms have private bathrooms and, although comfortable, are lacking in any personal touch.
Priced below the competition yet delivering well above, beautiful Hrafninn (The Raven) feels like an elegant manor house without being pretentious or stuffy.

A cut above most of Akureyri’s guest houses, this stately heritage home has a variety of rooms with high ceilings, wood floors and period charm. Crisp white linens, pale neutral colours and simple style give the rooms a very calm atmosphere.
