Well located and very friendly, this budget place is great value for money, with comfortable rooms with a surprising amount of personality for this price range.
One of the rare Caen hotels in an 18th-century building, this hotel has more character than most. The rooms are attractive with white walls and plain pine furniture, and open directly onto a relaxing interior garden.
Friendly and upbeat, this classic budget hotel – in a charming late-18th-century building with creaky wooden stairs – has just 11 rooms, some with old-fashioned features such as wooden wardrobes and stone fireplaces.
Bang in the centre of town, right beside the tramlines, this functional and friendly hotel makes the perfect city base. The rooms are simple but quite generous in size, and are all painted in bold primary shades.
Although this Best Western–affiliated hotel is partly housed in a former priory, the facilities – including a sauna and fitness room – are thoroughly modern. Some of the 35 rooms have antique furniture and ancient exposed beams.
