Locals will always hit the restaurants that specialise in a single dish and this renowned spot has some of the best banh xeo in town. These Vietnamese rice-flour crêpes stuffed with bean sprouts, prawns and pork (vegetarian versions available) are the stuff of legend.

    OK for a tourist stop - not for eating with the locals

    berkeleyjoe does not recommend this,

    too many tourists! get real - locals don't come here anymore

    Watch out for the adjacent restaurants on this street. They all have a similar sign to the Banh Xeo 46A. Only the number is different (e.g. Banh Xeo 48). Oh, and they are dead quiet, because the locals aren't fooled.
    Eating banh xeo: break off a chunk of crepe, wrap it in lettuce, and dunk it in the sauce.
    Definitely worth a try, but I wasn't blown away by the crepe I had. It's hard to beat pho ga!
