Introducing New Braunfels

The richly historic town of New Braunfels (named for its Prussian founder, Prince Carl of Solms Braunfels) was the first German settlement in Texas. Today residents from Austin and San Antonio flock to New Braunfels in summer for its main attraction: the cool and easy-flowing waters of the Guadalupe and Comal Rivers.
