Old Globe Theaters information
Balboa Park’s Old Globe Theaters date from the 1935 Exposition, and in the 1970s the main stage was rebuilt in the style of the original 17th-century Globe in England, where Shakespeare's works were originally performed. Between the three stages here – Old Globe , Cassius Carter Stage and the outdoor Lowell Davies Festival Theater – there are performances most days, including non-Shakespearean works.
