Parroquia de Santa María Magdalena

El Centro & El Arenal

Behind a fairly unobtrusive exterior, this historic late 17th-century church opens to reveal an enormous baroque interior capped by an octagonal cupola. Its headline act is the colossal gold retablo behind the main altar (an 18th-century addition), but you'll also find several works by big-name baroque artists Francisco de Zurbarán and Juan de Valdés Leal.
