Introducing West New Georgia
In the seduction stakes, the island of New Georgia and its western neighbours, including Vonavona, Kohinggo, Rendova and Tetepare, seem to have always played second fiddle to the better-hyped Ghizo Island area or Marovo Lagoon. But we say: no longer! West New Georgia has its fair share of idyllic spots, as well as attractive accommodation options and a hatful of historical sights. And divers take note: the coral reefs are flabbergasting, with the added thrill of regular shark action.
