Monument to the Poznań Army

Poznań

Stark modern monument 500m north of the Old Town, dedicated to the local armed force that resisted the German invasion of 1939 for almost two weeks. It’s just opposite the sloping Cemetery of the Meritorious, the oldest existing graveyard in the city (1810). Buses 176 and 603 are useful for reaching the park as they run the length of Garbary.
