According to recent reports, this winter, the Northern Hemisphere will encounter stunning views of the Northern Lights, with nature’s greatest light show set to begin its strongest cycle from September onwards.

With that in mind, a seasoned professional photographer with plenty of experience capturing the Aurora Borealis has shared a beautiful series of images taken in Canada, Norway and Iceland over the last few years.

Captured by Mike Mezeul II, the images show the iconic purple and green hues of the Northern Lights dancing over reflective lakes and snow-capped mountains in the beautiful, diverse locations.
