Lonely Planet review for James Joyce Museum

Strikingly located in a Martello tower overlooking Dublin Bay in the salubrious seaside suburb of Sandycove, the James Joyce Museum’s contents combine memorabilia from the celebrated writer’s life with a dramatic setting that has a story all its own. The opening scene of Ulysses is set on the tower’s roof. Visit on Bloomsday (16 June) for special events.
