Steam Railway & Lee Valley Eco Park
Between 1891 and 1953 a narrow-gauge steam railway connected Tralee with Dingle. A 3km Tralee-Blennerville section has been restored and will run through the new, 25-acre Lee Valley Eco Park, which was being developed at the time of research, and will have walking and cycling trails, a wildlife area, fish-stocked lake and an ecoconscious visitor centre. The railway is expected to reopen in mid-2012 – check with the tourist office for updates.
