Acropolis of Agios Andreas

Sifnos

At the heart of the island, about 2km south of Apollonia, this well-excavated hilltop acropolis dates from the Mycenaean period (13th century BC). Take in extensive views of interior valleys and neighbouring Paros from above the intact defensive wall. The adjacent St Andrew's Church dates from about 1700.
