Introducing Vágar
If you fly into the Faroes you’ll arrive on Vágar (vow-whar). Most travellers dash straight off to Tórshavn. But underrated Vágar itself has a spectacular cliffedged western coast that’s most entertainingly viewed from the mini-ferry to Mykines, one of the Faroes most loveable if climatically treacherous getaways.
