Introducing Langeland

Long thin Langeland is a dreamy stretch of green, connected by bridge to Tåsinge. Small farming villages and windmills dot the countryside, and everything moves at an unhurried pace.

Langeland’s only large town – Rudkøbing – is worth a couple of hours. Elsewhere on the island are the wonderful Tickon sculpture park and the former military stronghold of Langelandsfort, plus bird-watching sites, scattered artists’ studios and 28 small beaches.
