No 6 Bathing Beach

Qingdao

This is the closest beach to the Old Town, and a great spot come early evening, when the buildings around the bay are illuminated. No 6 Bathing Beach is a short strip of sand and tide pools, next to Zhan Bridge, the pier that reaches into the bay. At the tip of the pier, the eight-sided Huilan Pavilion is a graceful sight, though it's often packed to the rafters.
