This all-singing show at Sternbräu is a triple bill of Mozart, The Sound of Music and operetta faves performed in traditional costume. Kitsch but fun.

Schatzi Bar
This rollicking après-ski bar is full of Schatzis (little treasures) in the form of go-go dancing girls in skimpy Dirndls that look like they’ve shrunk in the wash. Madness.

Raj
Raj means ‘paradise’ in Slovenian. This piece of eclectic heaven is an unusual combination of gourmet restaurant (excellent light dishes and mains cost between €8 and €18), creative and performance arts and music, wine bar and what it calls ‘inner-courtyard culture’. The food is good too.

Die Weisse
The cavernous brewpub of the Salzburger Weissbierbrauerei, this is the place to guzzle cloudy wheat beers in the wood-floored pub and the shady beer garden out back. DJs work the decks in Sudwerk bar, especially at the monthly Almrausch when locals party in skimpy Dirndls and strapping lederhosen.
