Getting There & Away
The main points of entry for Snowdonia are Betws-y-Coed, Bala, Porthmadog and Dolgellau. For Llŷn Peninsula it's Porthmadog and Pwllheli and for the North Wales Borderlands it's Llangollen and Wrexham.
There are two major train lines into the region: the Cambrian/Cambrian Coast line (for Porthmadog and Pwllheli) and the Conwy Valley (for Betws). The narrow-gauge Welsh Highland and Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland lines run inland from Porthmadog and/or Carenarfon to Blaenau-Ffestiniog and Beddgelert.
Major bus routes include the T2 (Porthmadog and Dolgellau), T3 (Wrexham, Llangollen, Bala and Dolgellau) and a variety of services from Pwllheli across the Llŷn Peninsula.
